Purple Communications Style
Relational/mind
A Purple processes
information predominately through interactivity or the
relational principle and they are
mainly interested in ideas and
concepts.
Green Communications Style
Mind/action
Greens processes
information predominately through thinking or the use of the
logical principle to solve issues
or develop systems related to the action mode of viewing the world.
A Green’s mode to be
acquired is the development of the
relational principle. As Green’s great strength is to develop physical
systems they need to be encouraged to look at the human factors and to give
weight to the relational and emotional concerns of others in a situation.
Yellow Communications Style
Action/Mind
The Yellow dynamic
processes information and data predominately through
action ensuring
ideas work in practice.
A Yellow’s mode to be
acquired is the development of the
relational principle. Their
great strength is to problem-solve and make things work, they need to be
encouraged to look at the human factors and to give weight to understanding
their own and others emotional needs and responses.
Red Communications
Style Action/relational
Reds process information
and collects data relating to practical
action and use the
relational lens to work out how
to develop whole systems incorporating human and physical factors.
Orange Communications Style
Relational/action
Oranges processes
information predominately through interactivity or the
relational principle and like to
connect to people, things and ideas related to their environment. They are
sensitive to the emotional and aesthetic aspects of their environment and
theses aspects must be taken care of before they will attend to other
matters.
An Orange’s mode to be
acquired is the development of the
mind principle. They need to be encouraged to be more reflective and detached from
personal issues, rather than personalising them and to be more discerning by
looking at the long term consequences of decisions made in the present.
Blue Communications
Style Mind/relational
Blues processes
information predominately through thinking or the use of the
mind principle and are interested
in functional aspects of
relationships or helping people to realise their potential.
A Blue’s mode to be
acquired is the development of the
action principle. As one of a Blue’s strengths is to see the potential in people,
they can be frustrated by how long it takes for a person to realise their
potential. They need to be encouraged to be persevering with other peoples’
ways of processing and to be more expressive of or give feedback on their
reactions to situations in the moment and to check their assumptions in a
given situation.
